I would like to apologize for the delay in communicating to you the plans for the CBAP Annual Convention 2013. Due to financial constraints, we could no longer invite as major speaker a biblical scholar from abroad. Responses to the call for papers also came rather late. For these reasons, instead of the usual three-day convention in Tagaytay, we opted for a simpler, whole-day mini convention to be held on 20 July 2013, Saturday, at the Institute of Preaching, located in the compound of Sto. Domingo Church, # 537 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
The theme of the convention remains the same, “Faith and Current Concerns.” While we do not have a major speaker, we do have the following members, associates and observers who will be presenting workshop papers: Fr. Randolf, Flores, SVD; Ms. Arche Ligo; Ms. Annie del Corro; Ms. Maricel Ibita; Ms. Carolina Dionco and Fr. Anthony Cao Sieu, SJ.
We shall provide the titles and abstracts of their papers, including the convention program, soonest. For our whole-day gathering, the convention fee is only P1,000.00, inclusive of lunch, morning and afternoon snacks and handouts. Annual dues are still the same: P2,000.00 for regular members and P1,500.00 for associate members. In spite of the scaled down conduct of our yearly assembly, we are hoping that you will be able to come. Kindly confirm your attendance by Monday, 15 July 2013.
